Educational Consulting

Raven Thomas, our Chief Educational Consultant is an 18 year public school teacher and administrator. Working in some of the Houston area’s most challenging elementary, high, and charter schools, Mrs. Thomas is no stranger to turn-around school work; she really knows the ins and outs of catering to diverse scholars and tailoring professional development to meet the needs of teachers and parents. 

Raven has performed educational consulting for many years among family members, friends, neighbors and others but Got You Covered Educational Consulting was birthed from the cries from parents about their hurdles as a result of having to educate their children at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Raven offered a teaching series to parents to make school at home an easier possibility. 

All Got You Covered Educational Consulting services can be offered face to face or virtually. 

Got You Covered Educational Consulting offers:

School at home planning & space design
(prices start at $200)

Together we navigate your school districts policies and procedures and in turn we develop a plan that works for your child(ren) and family.

Raven visits the home and helps to shop and make recommendations about what the school at home space looks like and will help to create the space with the parent and children. 

Parent Coaching
($100 initial 90 minute consult; $50 60 minute sessions bi-weekly)

Are you preparing for a Parent Conference, a 504 meeting, or an ARD? Or is that you need to know how to balance your child’s life with home, school, and extra-curricular activities without being the “bad guy”. We can sit down and come up with the words for you to say to ensure that you are able to maximize the results that are in the best interest for your child. We teach you how to be your child’s best advocate and how to ensure all stakeholders are accountable for your child’s education.

Teacher interview prep
($100 for initial 90 minute session; $30 for each 45 minute subsequent/additional sessions)

Are you a new teacher or are you preparing to change schools? Get first hand tips from a sitting school leader about what we’re looking for! We review your resume and conduct a mock interview. Follow up sessions are held after the interview to debrief and to offer additional tips
